# DXXII…For The Original “Bull”…

Today, in 1943, actor Richard Moll was born in Pasadena, California.  This normally wouldn’t mean anything but the fact is that I enjoyed watching this gigantic actor portraying bailiff Bull Shannon on the hit TV show, “Night Court”.  However, being that his career began in 1967, it was just one of the many big- and small-screen works that the man has been involved in…a laundry list that you can peruse yourself…if you so choose.

Also celebrating this date with him are; fellow comedian/actor Rip Taylor (1934), late TV mogul Brandon Tartikoff (1949-1997), former famed wrestling trainer Bruce Hart (1951), golf superstar Mark O’Meara (1957), former San Jose Sharks’ goalie phenom Kelly Hrudey (1961) and ubiquitous comedienne Julia Louis-Dreyfus was also born in 1961.

Country superstar Trace Adkins was born in 1962, actress Penelope Ann Miller (1964), actor Patrick Dempsey was born in 1966, actress Traci Bingham (1968), actress Nicole Eggert (1972), everyone’s favorite elf, Orlando Bloom, was born in 1977 and former career New York Jets’ center Nick Mangold was born in 1984.

# DXXI…Versatile Actor Known for His Voice…

Today, January 5th, is also the birthday (for those of you celebrating) of veteran actor Clancy Brown (1959), whose face you may recognize if you’re a fan of such great movies as “The Shawshank Redemption” {Captain Byron Hadley}, “Starship Troopers” {Sgt. Charles Zim} and TV’s “The Flash” {great villain General Wade Elling}.  For those of you, however, not old enough to remember those movies, his VOICE has been his calling card; since 1999, the man has been the voice of the iconic cheapskate Mr. Krabs on “SpongeBob SquarePants”!!!!

In addition to holding that role, he has appeared in a myriad of voice-over works, including Lex Luthor (various DC comics cartoons), Thunderbolt Ross/Red Hulk (in a couple of Marvel cartoons), Dr. Neo Cortex (“Crash Bandicoot” video games) and Hades in the smash video game “God of War III”.  Considering he’s been around the industry since 1983, I figured that, even if you don’t know his face, you should at least know that he’s a twin for today.

More birthday twins include; late actress (and former wife of Ronald Reagan) Jane Wyman (1917-2007), former Vice President Walter Mondale (1928), late dancing icon Alvin Ailey (1931-1989), superstar actor Robert Duvall (1931), talk show magnate Charlie Rose (1942), actress Diane Keaton (1946), former “The Love Boat” bartender Ted Lange (1948), “Dancing With the Stars” judge extraordinaire Carrie Ann Inaba (1968), scary heavy metal icon Marilyn Manson (1969), actor Bradley Cooper (1975) and phenom DJ Deadmau5 (1981).

Happy birthday to all celebrating and, as always…
