# CDXXX…Again, From the Book…for a Rock God…

As I have deemed this my final excerpt, I will now present to you, in my own unusual way, how passionate I am about this “hobby” of mine…four years is a long time and the book includes many new and unique posts, like what you’re about to witness…

# cxlviii…”Top Ten” Guitarist…

September 29th, for those of you who celebrate, is the birthdate of Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick (1968), who joined my Top Ten (# 6) group in 1983 and is the backbone behind Chuck Billy’s evil snarl, further cementing his place here…as they are one of my favorite metal acts of all time.

Also, garnished {decorated} with the fact that I’ve seen him perform live (at the closing of the esteemed Roseland Ballroom in New York 2013), his name will always be considered among the paramount names discussed, as his mastery of his craft is well-respected throughout his specific genre.

We wish him many happy more birthdays…and hopefully more albums…

Celebrating as well on this late September day are/were; late country star Gene Autry (1907-1998), late NFL coach Bum Phillips (1923-2013), late artist Stan Berenstain (1923-2005), rock-n-roll icon Jerry Lee Lewis (1935), late “M*A*S*H” co-star Larry Linville (1939-2000), late comedienne/actress (and Mel Brooks’ close friend) Madeline Kahn (1942-1999) and television journalist Bryan Gumbel was born in 1948.

Also born on your birthday are; comedian Andrew Dice Clay (1957), Primus vocalist/bassist Les Claypool (1963), English actress/entertainer Lauren Pope (1982) and NFL’s ‘Megatron’, Calvin Johnson was born in 1985.

Most likely, I will be back next month…but we’ll see…
