# CDXIX…(419)…For My ‘Mate…

For those just joining me here on this blog, August 7th is the date on the calendar that my ex-wife (and soulmate) JoAnn joined the human race back in 1973.  As she has been in my life for the last twenty-something years, it seems only fitting that this first post of August 2016 would be for her honor (I’ve actually been slacking on here only due to the fact that I am trying to work on more “projects”).

Although recent events in her history have not gone her way, I would just like to make it known that, no matter what happens, she will always hold a place in my heart and forever be linked to this date, regardless of the evil stigma that she thinks is in place (post tomorrow should explain that…) in the universe.  She is a brilliant individual with a gigantic heart and a kind soul that is still in my life (thankfully) and a beautiful mother to my two daughters (although the eldest isn’t technically hers), who deserves nothing but the best on her most special day.

As the universe tends to do, sometimes, it also happens to be the birthday of another close personal friend…Sandra…whose presence in my life is also noted here, due to the prevalence in my life during the worst period of my life (my last six years in Jersey City).  She and her family were kind ears to my “issues” being faced before I left and, without her and her family, I don’t know if things would have turned out this way.

As for their “twins”; former Yankee hurler (only no-hitter in World Series’ history) Don Larsen (1929), country legend B.J. Thomas (1942), southpaw acting phenom John Glover {“Smallville”s Lionel Luthor} (1944), former “Sledge Hammer!” star David Rasche (1944), veteran actor Wayne Knight (1955) and iconic Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson was born in 1958.

Also celebrating this beautiful Summer day are; former “X-Files” and “Californication” star David Duchovny (1960), former baseball star Edgar Renteria (1975), actress Charlize Theron (1975), Hatebreed (metal giants) frontman Jamey Jasta (1978), actor Cirroc Lofton {“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”} (1978), “Smallville” alum Eric Johnson (1979) and my least favorite hockey player, only because of his teams’ win against my Sharks, Mr. Sidney Crosby, celebrates his 29th today (1987).

On a side note, I would just like to add that, if you look on my page for my “Blogroll” section (as it varies depending on which device you’re perusing), you should find the direct link in which to purchase my book, “/,,,/ ROCK ON DUDEZ \,,,\” {Kindle/Kindle apps only} directly from Amazon.  I only bring this up due to the fact that, even after all of the promoting that I’ve <as well as my family and friends> have done, very few have paid attention and sales are not good (at this time)!

Until tomorrow…
