On this date, in 1979, in Austin, Texas, a boy known as Drew Brees was born. This normally doesn’t mean anything to anyone else but, to me (because of my being a New Orleans Saints fan since 1989), he became a shining star for the historic franchise. A prolific gentleman with a heart of gold for the city that has adopted him, he continues his success with the football franchise…although not this season…and we hope that he will continue to do well.
Aside from the paragraph above, the kudos that this man has earned speak for themselves; seven-time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl MVP (for their Super Bowl XLIV win), 95.4 Passer Rating, 56033 passing yards, etc. The only other information that you need is that, if you’re in New Orleans, you will not find a person that can speak ill of him, as he is also a big booster for the economy…as he does a lot of charitable work in the Crescent City.
Happy birthday, Drew, and many happy more!!!!
Some of his birthday twins include: actor Ernie Reyes, Jr. (1972), WWE scion Shane McMahon (1970), pop diva Lisa Lisa (1966), Tool guitarist Adam Jones (1965), actor Mario Van Peebles (1957), former New York Jet Marty Lyons (1957), former Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker Randy White (1953), late Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Ronnie Van Zant (1948-1977), and, of course, late civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968), whose light will always be missed.
