In the music industry, no one has exemplified the title of his post better than our celebrator, Motley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx. As the creator of the metal giants Sixx:AM and as the bassist for Crüe, Nikki’s overdose from heroin (and subsequent rehab) are well documented in the annals of time. His continued longevity in the industry will long be remembered by fans long after his time has past. Born in 1958, he is an eloquent speaker, as well, as I found out when I saw them with Alice Cooper (post citation later).
Also celebrating today are actress Rita Moreno (1931), late “Barney Miller” actor Ron Carey (1935-2007), actress Donna Mills (1940), singer Brenda Lee (1944), actress Teri Garr (1947), singer Jermaine Jackson (1954), “Farscape” star Ben Browder (1962), comedienne Mo’Nique (1967), actor/rapper Mos Def (1973), WWE superstar luchador Rey Mysterio (1974), and Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance (1981).
Sorry if this is not my best work…it’s a little rushed…Happy birthday, Nikki, and many happy more…
