# CXXIX…Historic movie you’ve probably never seen…

Greetings, boils and ghouls…sorry, bad Hallowe’en pun intended…it is with great pleasure that I now bestow upon you the title of a made-for-TV movie that was released 37 years ago today.  That movie, which I was too young to witness the premiere of, is none other than the rock music cult classic, “KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park”.  Released on this date, Mischief Night (wow, haven’t heard that term since I left the city LOL) in 1978, and (for its’ time) at the height of popularity for the Rock Gods themselves, the movie did not become a Number 1 film…ever.

Having been released way before most of today’s special effects were even thought of, the movie is a real campy thriller which is based on a concert thrown by the owner of Magic Mountain.  The reason it’s so awesome, though, is BECAUSE of it’s cheesiness…which probably would be akin…
