Today, October 9th, would have been the 75th birthday of a true rock-n-roll icon, Mr. John Lennon (1940-1980). It is also, as I mentioned last year, the 40th birthday of his scion, Sean Lennon (1975). The oddity of the reason for showcasing these two rock legends is that, although the son hasn’t achieved the level of success that his father had (at the time), the younger seems to be creating his own legacy.
He has starred in several bands, collaborated with highly influential musicians (other than his mother, of course) in his genre. He has also written not only tons of music but a few movies, as well. Sean has also appeared on-screen; “Moonwalker”, “Melrose Place”, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (TV) and is as strong as his father was when it comes to a cause.
I would like to wish both Lennons a Happy Birthday…as my late brother was totally devastated when he found out that John, one of his “mentors”, had been killed…and many happy more…
