# CCCXXXII…From Hero to Villain, Like a Boss…

On June 30, 1959, versatile actor Vincent D’Onofrio was born in Brooklyn, NY.  The only reason that he belongs here is because he is so versatile.  From his role as Private Lawrence in the smash hit, Full Metal Jacket, to his role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, he has wowed audiences everywhere with his unique on-screen presence.

The title, as you might have guessed, is in reference to his current acting project; playing the villainous Kingpin/Wilson Fisk in the hit NetFlix series, Daredevil.  Although I personally haven’t caught it yet, I am sure that he is miles above and beyond the casting from the original movie, in which the character was portrayed by Michael Clarke Duncan (who was an okay choice, in my humble opinion).

We would like to wish Mr. D’Onofrio many happy more…

In addition, the following are/were celebrating birthdays today; late singer Lena Horne (1917-2010), The Supremes’ Florence Ballard (1943-1976), former hardcore wrestling legend Terry Funk (1944), comedian David Allen Grier (1956), auto racer Sterling Marlin (1957) and guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen was born in 1963.

Finishing the list are; pugilist Mike Tyson (1966), Pantera vocalist Phil Anselmo (1968), former Dallas Cowboy (now Philadelphia Eagle) wide receiver Miles Austin (1984), singer Fantasia Barrino (1984), swimming medalist Michael Phelps (1985) and WWE superstars Cody Rhodes (1985) and Alicia Fox (1986) concludes today’s entry.

I will return tomorrow…you know why if you have been following this blog…
