For the first time this century, my daughter Erin, who celebrates her milestone “quinceanera” (fifteenth birthday) today, is also being visited for the first time on her birthday by the Easter Bunny. However, this is something that I (as I am also an April baby) have also been the recipient of, as April 19 had fallen on Easter for my 10th (1981), 16th (1987) and 21st (1992) birthdays.
As far as my daughter Erin goes, this will not be the only time; her first time with the Easter Bunny is her 15th and she will also celebrate it a record four times between now and her centennial year (her 15th today, 26th (2026), 37th (2037) and 48th (2048)). It’s one of the quirks of the calendar that intrigue me every so often.
As her father, I would like to wish my youngest a very happy and prosperous “quinceanera” and hope that all of your birthday wishes come true…
In typical fashion, here are her birthday twins: actor Spencer Tracy (1900-1967), late actress/diva Bette Davis (1908-1989), late actor Gregory Peck (1916-2003), the author of “The Roots”, Alex Hailey (1920-2004), former “Riddler” Frank Gorshin (1933-2005), United States General Colin Powell (1937), singer/guitarist (and Johnny’s brother) Tommy Cash (1940), Law & Order star Michael Moriarty (1941) and The Hollies’ frontman Allan Clarke was born in 1942.
Finishing this list are; late astronaut Judith Resnik (1949-1986), Swedish diva Agnetha Faltskog (from the group ABBA) (1950), The X-Files’ Mitch Pileggi (1952), former WCW/WWF superstar Diamond Dallas Page (1956), “Happy” singer Pharrell Williams (1973), actress Hayley Atwell (Captain America movies) was born in 1982 and professional wrestling’s Ashley Fliehr (daughter of the iconic Ric Flair) was born in 1986.
