# CCXCIV…”Arrow” Coincidence…

Today in “Birthday Land”, we have a post for two members of the cast of the hit series, Arrow…the 1963 birth of Alex Kingston, who portrays Dinah Lance, the mother of Laurel and Sara Lance, and the 1967 birth of series villain-turned-antihero Malcolm Merlyn, played by John Barrowman.  Oddly enough, it’s also a coincidence that, not only have they starred in this show, they were also in the show Doctor Who in England.

Aside from starring in both shows, however, they are both accomplished actors who’ve devoted their time and effort in perfecting their craft, by working on both stage and screen.  Also, Mr. Barrowman is a huge advocate for gay rights (reason I mention that is because he’s gay and very vocal about bullying!) and is just an all-around wonderful actor.

Today is also the birthdays of; news mogul Rupert Murdoch (1931), newscaster Sam Donaldson (1934), actor Mark Metcalf {he was the butt of the jokes in a couple of Twisted Sister videos} was born in 1946, singer Bobby McFerrin was born in 1950, late science fiction author Douglas Adams (1952-2001), and voice actor Rob Paulsen, who did voice acting in hits like The Fairly Oddparents and Pinky and the Brain was born in 1956.

In addition, today is the birthday of Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul (1964), singer Lisa Loeb (1968), actor Terrance Howard (1969), author Christopher Rice {yes, Anne’s son} was born in 1978 and current New Orleans Pelicans’ center Anthony Davis was born in 1993.

Thank you all, again, and…
