On this date 23 years ago, one of the two bright spots of my life, my daughter Mena, was born in Jersey City, NJ. The above picture was taken of her at six months…she has continued to keep me in check all these years. Even after surpassing my education (college graduate, you know), she continues to be a driving force behind my life and I wish her nothing but many happy more birthdays!!
With no children of her own at this time (which is a good thing at the moment), she is still the light of the lives of everyone she touches…that in itself is a testament to my teachings (I hope). My daughters are my universe…for without them, I would be more lost than I am now.
Happy birthday, “Mookie”…and many happy more!!!!
