# CCVIII…238 Years of Freedom…

Part of the reason that I am still here and still writing on this blog is the simple fact that, on July 4, 1776, our Thirteen Colonies declared their independence from the English monarchy.  Without the courage and determination that the Revolutionary War provided us with, I might be shut down because I try to write and educate my followers…which is a freedom and a privilege that I don’t take lightly.

In the 238 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we have all enjoyed the benefits of the inalienable rights that were bestowed upon us by the great document.

However, in what may be considered an act of treason, I don’t follow anything that our so-called “leaders” have to say; this is due to the fact that, in all of our freedoms, we have now become a society where the “rich” (especially members of our elitist judicial system) grossly outweigh the “poor” (common meager folks like me) and financial superiority reigns supreme, which is further cemented by our society’s notions of such.

Having said that, I would just like to conclude in this post that, if we continue this “self-indulgence” unabated, we also may have to prepare ourselves for the worst…whatever that may entail.  As our past oppressors found out, nothing in this God-forsaken world is absolute!
