# CXI…August 2nd’s Quirkiness…

It was on this day, in 1937, that the U.S. decided (as stupid as it is) to outlaw and incriminate marijuana.  The only reason that I bring this up in this abbreviated post is the fact that it is also the birthday of Mary-Louise Parker (of Showtime’s “Weeds”) and superb director/actor/comedian Kevin Smith (“Silent Bob”, among his many talents).

It is also a good friend of mine’s birthday…Mr. Jay Nova Castronova (the drummer from The Wizard of Ozz and lead singer of Love, the spectacular tribute band based on The Cult).  Not sure how he ties into the irony but we’ll run with it and say Happy Birthday to all!!!!!
